Our Mission:

To establish and cultivate a unique living, learning and working environment; to facilitate and foster artistic, cultural and personal growth of Madison's community artists and artisans, to commit to the cultivation of the community's appreciation of art as a reflection of life

Located at 306 West Dayton, MCCCA was formed through the creative vision of a dedicated group of local artists, businesses, neighbors and advocates of art.

The purpose of MCCCA is threefold: to establish an academy for youth and adults for instruction in music, theater, dance and the literary arts, to provide a performance venue and exhibit space for artisans, and to create a network for artists to connect with the community through outreach projects and partnerships.

Benefits of MCCCA:

  • Youth and adults who are otherwise unable to receive instruction in music, theater, or dance through their local school or other agency will have access to professional instructors in an after-school, after-work facility.
  • Adults will have the opportunity to apprentice with practicing professionals.
  • Youth and adults will be able to attend workshops and seminars that broaden the scope of the creative arts as an ingegral part of community life.
  • Artists and artisans will have access to exhibit and performance space.
  • Community partneships such as with the Madison Metropolitan School District and other arts organizations will allow artist and artisans to showcase their talents while providing instruction to budding artists.
  • Youth and adults will be exposed to an environment that fosters creative self-expression through the arts.
  • Area artist will have access to networks connecting them with the community and each other.
