Join us this Friday, September 7 for a reception from 7 to 9 p.m. for photographer Reece Donihi and his son Brian Donihi, poet and classical guitar player.  Their joint exhibit will be up until Sunday, September 9.  Refreshments will be served and Brian will play a classical music repertoire from Bach to Sor.

 

On Saturday, September 8 and Sunday, September 9 Krin Haglund presents Clowning 101.

Krin Haglund, a theatrical clown and professional circus performer, will conduct a 10-hour Introduction to Clowning workshop at the MCCCA.  A goal is to help students create a clown character that is a reflection of themselves, "by understanding your own uniqueness and fragility on stage." Music and group exercises, improvisation and classic clown routines will be incorporated into instruction.

Movement or performance experience will be helpful, but "enthusiastic beginners are welcome."

The workshop, which costs $125, will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 5 p.m. Sept. 8 and 1 to 5 p.m. Sept. 9.
